Guanaco

The Guanaco (Lama guanicoe) is a member of the camel family members, Camelidae (order Artiodactyla). But unlike camels, these lands, which include alpaca, llama, and vicuña do not have bulges.

Instead, Guanaco has a slender body, tiny head, brownish eyes, long neck, large pointed ears and also short tail. Guanacos are belonging to South American countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile as well as Peru.

Guanaco can grow from 107 to 122 centimeters (3.5 and 4 feet) at the shoulder and also weighs about 90 kg.
Its typical life span is 20 to 25 years.

Guanacos are usually located in tiny herds living at high elevation grazing on grass and also other plants. They can make it through for a number of days without water, getting wetness from the plants they consume. The puma is its only key all-natural predator.
